Huge Potential

When did Atomic first start noticing Carlo?
Atomic has been supporting Carlo for quite some years now, by now its been three years, I think. The youth-scouting depends heavily on the initiative of the countries and their Junior Race Manager. Carlo first caught my eye in 2006, where he placed third in the Youth World Cup in giant slalom. In december that year he attended the World Cup in Alta Badia, where he was able to qualify for the second run and finished 20th. That was when I knew that Carlo carried big potential as that giant slalom slope is viewed as one of the most difficult ones. Especially his allround-abilities had made him stand out back then.

What relevance is Carlo of for Atomic?
Of very big relevance. Carlo embodies the youthful image, that fits our brand and he belongs to the small circle of athletes who are in serious competition for the World Cup. That big trophy is a clearly stated goal of Atomic since we've won it 13 times in the last 15 years. With Carlo we have one of the most promising athletes on our team. Thanks to his «coolness» he is also a «medal hamster» for the Olympic Games and the World Championships.

Does Carlo enjoy a special status within the Atomic Racing Team?
Carlo can profit, like every «superstar», from a special status on our team. Atomic provides him with a personal service assistant who exclusively takes care of his individual needs. We are also working together with Carlo on special programs regarding Marketing and Communications.
